sweat test - TK: Does mercury itself inhibit mercury excretion?

Sweat test: a patch is taped to your back for a couple of hours and

absorbs enough sweat to put through HPLC for analysis. It's cheap

and useful for looking at vitamin and mineral status as well as toxic

elements including mercury. For mercury of course there is the

problem of interpreting what the reading means, but I take some comfort

from the fact that over the years my sweat level of Hg has gone from

high to almost negligible, so I should be more than ready for the ALA

phase. The test is available from Biolab in London - don't know who

else does it but it's simple enough.
