Guest guest
What's wrong with generator-powered boxes on ambulances? In my opinion, ANYTHING that improves the quality of my life and that of my patient is A-OK in my book. If gen-set ambulances are NOT an asset, why is it that so many services are using them? Houston FD Paramedics originally helped design them. San is transitioning into them - saw two last week up close at Downtown Baptist. Fredericksburg, Llano, Burnet, Marble Falls, County, Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, Seguin, Fayette County, Ft. Bend, Tomball, Rosehill, Galveston, Alvin, Kerrville, just to name a few I can think of off the top of my head. I've seen them in Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and even in the " Great White North " . I don't run on one of our Frazier units here at Acadian, but do have one of our " Cajun-built " units. Despite a few " personality issues " , I wouldn't trade my Unit 703 for ANY other ambulance in our fleet, or anybody else's fleet for all the tea in China. Barry E.
