HELP for my 2 year old! Andy, TK, others?

My son is 2 1/2 years old. He seems to be behind in speech and social

skills, and we have therapists helping.

It also seems that he might have a milk allergy or multiple food

intolerances. We are going to eliminate dairy for 14 days as a first

step.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it very possible that a heavy

metal toxicity might be at the root of all this?

He has had most of his shots, except the MMR, which I made them

postpone, so far, but I know some of the shots had thimerosal in them.

Unfortunately, we didn't know what we know now about mercury.

Also, before discussing with TK, we thought our brita water filter was

good enough for removing lead from our water. A lead test of our

water showed slightly elevated levels, though running it for 5 mins

brought them down to acceptable. We since replaced our plumbing and

used lead-free solder, of course.

Blood test of my son showed no lead problem, but we know how

misleading they can be. So, now my son may have a potential lead

and/or mercury issue, and I don't know what to do about it.

Can anyone offer any advice here? I want to be really really cautious

on this one, and I already know better than to get him a challenge

test. Does the protocol apply for kids? Any good docs in the New

Jersey area who will work with me?

Seeing as I would rather drink poison than cause any harm to my son, I

don't want to do anything stupid, yet I want to address the problem if

there is one.

Thanks,

- JB
