Hi ;

I hope that Caity finds relief from the thigh numbness with some rest!

is doing well thank you! He's almost through his first year of

medical school at IU. It's hard work, but I think he's enjoying it.

He has a girlfriend who is also in physical therapy training at IU.

Health-wise he seems fine. His last colonoscopy showed very little

evidence of UC, and his blood work indicated only a slightly elevated

ALP = 143 [normal range = 17 - 142] (down from as high as 559 at

diagnosis in 2003). We attribute this to the combination of high-dose

ursodiol, rifampin, asacol, fish oils and vitamin supplements, that

he's been very diligent about taking, and the fact that he has

abstained from alcohol consumption, and has been eating and

exercising well.

When he left Wabash college last year he did a recruiting piece for

the Chemistry Dept. that is now online:

Best regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I just watched 's recruiting piece. Judy and you must be incredibly

proud of all his accomplishments at such a young age. I'm looking forward

to following his professional progress, as I know he will make inroads in

research in the future. He is also a handsome guy! Glad to hear that he is

feeling so well.
