question about dmsa dosage.

I just finished reading sev posts on dmsa and dosages such as 8 or 12

mg? How does one know the dosage of split capsule to be 8 or 12mg

exactly? I split a capsule usually there is one larger part of the

capsule and I try to even the powder evenly but it sounds to me like

people know exact dosage out there? How are people doing this? I have

posted before the same question , is there a prob if one time 12 mg is

used and 3-4 hrs later maybe 8-9 mg are used ??? thanks
