Guest guest Posted July 8, 2009 Report Share Posted July 8, 2009 Hi All- I need some ideas for what to do about food and eating on the SCD while traveling. I am leaving in 8 days to go on vacation for 6 days/5 nights. We are going about 3 – 4 hours away and I have room to pack a cooler. There will be a mini refrigerator and microwave in our room, so if I can get organized enough I should easily be able to stay SCD compliant during my vacation. The problem I am having is planning the food/menus and thinking of everything I will need to be prepared to eat in during vacation. It is just so overwhelming to me to think about it. Getting packed for vacation is always a big stress for me. It creates conflict between me and DH because I am never ready to leave on time. Now that I am adding on trying to plan and pack SCD food for the trip, every time I think about it I just get so overwhelmed and procrastinate doing any planning. So, where should I start? Should I plan menus for the days I will be away? What about other things that I will need to eat in my room while away like paper plates, napkins, etc. Does anyone have a list of additional things (besides the food) they bring along on trips to help eat in their room? Or any suggestions on good food to pack and bring with me? I am eating foods at pecanbread stage 2. Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.
