Okay, I went on my dairy-free diet and my LFT values went back into

the normal range. Is there anything out there to explain this? It's

too much of a coincidence for me to not think the two are linked (at

least in my case). Only ALT, AST, and ALP seem to be affected by

this. GGT seems to have remained the same over time. What do you

all think? My GI doc won't even consider the possibility. I'll run

it by my hep the next time I see him...

Pre-pregnancy my tests were in this range

AST 46 (2-35)

ALT 58 (2-40)

ALP 144 (20-125)

GGT 152 (2-60)

2 months after conception:

AST 23 (3-35)

ALT 29 (3-40)

ALP 69 (20-125)

3 weeks prior to birth

AST 17 (3-35)

ALT 14 (3-40)

ALP 145 (20-125)

3 months after birth

AST 59 (3-35)

ALT 75 (3-40)

ALP 188 (20-125)

During dairy-free diet

AST 27 (<40)

ALT 38 (<40)

ALP 74 (40-125)

GGT 142 (<40)

2 months after adding diary back into diet

AST 37 (10-30)

ALT 67 (6-40)

ALP 131 (40-125)

GGT 103 (<40)

3 weeks after starting dairy-free diet again

AST 20 (10-30)

ALT 21 (6-40)

GGT 50 (3-50)

As you can see, both pregnancy and my diet seem to affect my liver

funtion tests. Is it me, or does there seem to be a direct

correlation between my diet and the values? Surely, this can't be

just coincidence?
