Guest guest
I don't think there is any silver bullet. If there were, none of us would be chatting about these things. What I do know is that if I have provided any protection to my children by nursing, then good. And it was far from my own motivation. The fact that it was essentially free, meant I didn't have to deal with bottles, formula, etc. was well worth it. I think of BFing as the ultimate MRE! LOL! The DHA is an interesting thought. I did/do supplement with Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil -- both the kids and me. I'm a big believer in tossing whatever I can at the problem in the hopes that something will help. I'm planning on making some real, fermented sauerkraut this fall, as well. What the heck -- it's kinda fun trying out all this stuff -- my own little studies. I had a really great GI when I was a teenager and in my 20's. His attitude was one of, " it's not going to hurt and it might help.
