Stints, Varices, Transplant Hospitals and Heptologists??

My 19 year old daughter has PSC and UC for the past 2 years...it took

11/2 years to daignose. She is having surgery today to have a stint

put into? her liver?? Sorry this has all come very suddenly so I am

not sure exactly what they are doing? She was doing fine and on Friday

started to vomit blood. They discovered 2 varices in her stomach.

Yesterday one of them burst, so today they are doing surgery, putting

the stint in??

My questions are?

1. Does any one out there live in Austin Texas have PSC, it would sure

help having someone around.

2. Also, if that someone lives in Austin we are looking for a good

Gastro/haptologist in the area??

3. Does anyone know what the best Transplant Hospital is in the South,

someone said the Methodist Hospital in Houston??

4. How long will the stints help for?? She has not eaten since

Thursday?? Will the varices subside on there own after the surgery as

they are saying that is the way to treat them??

Sorry for all the quetions but I am besides myself with worry.
