This does happen in MS; when I had this--years ago--they advised me to drinkonly "thick shakes" for about two weeks, and they put me on fairly high dosePrednisone, which did work--have not had it since!Your local doctor can prescribe Prednisone for this; they did do CT scan ofme trying to swallow.Love and hope to you and to Challis,nTo: Group

Years ago I had a swallowing problem that my neuro said was MS related. Now I'm choking. This choking happens when I'm drinking water mostly. When it's really bad I motion to my back and someone will come and firmly pat/pound on my back and I can finally get a breath again. I worry that a bad one will happen when I'm alone though. It is scary. I sure wish I had a neuro up here on the mountain! I keep hearing the hospital is getting closer to getting a neuro to move here... been hearing that for over a year. lol SharonThis

Hi nI had a swallowing test but that was more than 10 years ago. Perhaps I should make an appointment to see my doctor. I do have a filled prescription of prednisone in the cupboard now. The choking doesn't happen every day but when it does it's super scary. Did coughing go along with your choking when you had it?love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
