Guest guest
Can mercury damage the peripheral nervous system causing neuropathies? I really haven't seen this mentioned. I watched a video on youtube that showed neuron degeneration in the brain leading to alzheimers when mercury was introduced. The depiction showed mercury binding to receptor sites in the building blocks of the nerves and instead of the nerves building like normal they fell apart. I guess something like that is what happens in peripheral nerve damage? Or if it wasn't the cause it could at least hinder the healing and rebuilding of the nerves? Here's the link incase anyone hasn't seen it. I thought it was very interesting.
