Guest guest
This morning the fire is at 140,000 acres and growing. It's still at zero containment. It is the 4th largest fire ever in Arizona and the fire personnel are calling it a "monster" that has a life of it's own.A friend ran into an Apache firefighter she knows at Walmart yesterday. He said they discovered a group of 68 elk that died in the fire when the fire surrounded them. I'm sure many more stories like that will come out before this is over. The communities of Alpine, Nutrioso and Blue River have been evacuated. Greer is on standby for evacuation. The winds shifted and we are all smoky here today. The smoke smell is fairly strong here. The forecast says we have a small chance of rain but it also mentioned thunderstorms. Thunderstorms sound great but only without the fire sparking lightening! Please no more fires!! hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
