We can't let this continue to happen. It would be great is our listmates here were to e-mail the entire School Board and the Superintendent and tell them we expect the aide and driver to be fired on Monday. They need to take immediate action and send a message to parents that their children are safe and to staff that abuse of students will not be tolerated. Mr. Runcie and the Board have an opportunity to build some trust. Letting this slowly churn through the process is the wrong message. According to news stories this aide was not removed from student contact for 8 days after this incident. No excuses, not "there is a process,", no "they have a contract." Deal with the fallout from these details after the fact. Immediate Action is the only acceptable response. Superintendent Runcie supt_runcie@... goes to all Board Members schoolboard@...
