Guest guest
Val, I have been taking ALA alone lately (b/c I am too impatient to wait for my order to come in from my docs office), and I am experiencing some anxiety as well. I feel a lot better when I use valerian root. It takes the edge off. I prefer taking ALA alone. I don't know if it chelates as well...but so far I have fewer side effects than I do with ALA/ DMSA. For me, missing a dose sometimes screwed up the entire remainder of the round. > Anyway, while on the round I felt better mentally. More present > and " in the moment " . Nice that you feel better on ALA! > Question -- > What if I do ala alone for 3 days and then add dmps when I'm > finishing up and for 2 or 3 days afterward? Not Andy's usual advice, of course, but you can try anything you want. It sounds like you are willing to tolerate the back pain from the DMPS to get the possible benefit of reduced anxiety from the ALA? I think you are already using very low doses, but going lower could be something to consider for both chelators. Side effects do vary (for me, anyway), so you may want to notice if the nervous wreck thing is a regular event - same with the back pain. I have had some symptoms that were pretty consistent and regular events and other symptoms that varied from round to round. You may need to find ways to address your symptoms so that you can eventually get to higher doses. For the anxiety, I use kava kava, gaba, and of course hc. There are lots and lots of possibilities for anxiety. For the back pain, lots of magnesium and possible something for pain and/or inflammation depending on exactly what is going on. Are you on stable, effective doses of hc and thyroid? -- > Thanks... > > Val >
