Some people are sensitive to ALA, some are not. If you feel better on ALA alone, it should be fine. Someone else (I think Val/seashell) has reported feeling much better on ALA vs. DMPS/ALA. If you want to extend the round, I suggest extending to 4 days first and hold there for several rounds before trying a 5 day round. It is really best to hold everything else stable, such as dose, interval, round length, supplements, and only make one small change at a time. > I'm currently taking Adrenal Support in the form of Adrenal Complex, > Adrenal Cortex and DHEA 30 mg. I am not sure what you mean by " heart beat with greater effort " . Is it faster or just more noticeable? One possibility is a blood sugar problem. You could try a protein snack before bed to see if that helps. > I have done 2 Adrenal Stress Index tests over the past year. > August '06, my cortisol levels were all elevated, especially the > midnight reading. > 9 months later all in the middle of normal range. I have only used a very tiny dose of pregnenolone, just experimenting so far. I think Andy suggests 100 mg - I would start with less and see how it feels before working up. Maybe someone else will share what dose works for them. > 2) The practitioner I'm working with recommended Phosphatidy Serine. > Does anyone have any experience with this? I have used it and it has helped me sleep. It helps to reduce high nighttime cortisol levels (which I think could be hard to detect unless you test during the night). --
