Hello Listmates,

One of our " own " is running for Broward County School Board in District 4, which

is a Northern District around the Coral Springs / Parkland / Margate Area.

I say one of our " own " because 's son Garrett, who has cerebral palsy, is

an activist too and has traveled to Tallahassee to advocate for various issues.

" gets it " when it comes to disabilities and education. He was past Chair

of the ESE Advisory Council and helped bring many issues before the Board, which

he now wants to become a part of. is also President of Parkland Best

Buddy Sports, a most excellent special needs sports program open to all disabled

children.

Tonight, July 16th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm there will be a " Meet the

Candidates " Night at Mythos Greek Taverna 2864 North University Drive Coral

Springs, FL 33065 . This is a great opportunity to let the other

candidate know who is supporting alan " Bob " Mayersohn.

could use all the support he can get as District 4 is heavily contested

with six candidates in the upcoming election.

A real opportunity to put a real advocate for disability issues on our School

Board, even if you live outside District 4, if you can make it I hope to see you
