I was wondering if the double jalapeno's on the triple-Whataburger with

double cheese had anything to do with it.

Possible left femoral artery rupture??? Just a thought.

Live for today, tomorrow is not here yet and laugh at yourself often

A pt was brought to us while trying to eat at Whataburger. ...typical.

Anyway folks, the pt is a 34 y/o male with profuse sweating, loss of

movement/sesnsation to the left lower extremity. Unable to feel a

pedal pulse, elevations seems to alleviate pain. Pt states pain runs

up his LLE to his back. Pt is very anxious and cannot sit still for

more than a couple of minutes. He keeps saying something is wrong, I

don't feel good. V/S BP 150/90, P-90, R-20. O2 was given via NRB. IV

was established, 18ga catheter to the left A/C. EKG shows a SR. My

initial diagnosis was a possible DVT. His LLE began to show some

discoloration. I began to also think some kind of possible bite from

an unknown source. Pt had just walked into his friends house when the

acute onset started. The pt also stated he felt something pop and

poited to around the diaphragm area. What do youu all think?
