I think it depends on where you live and what your climate is, and what

time of the year. In New Orleans, peanut butter brownies, ESPECIALLY

covered in a tupperware container, would be green and furry by the end of

a week.

Whilst in England recently I made nut bread, using my favorite recipe with a half a cup of steamed veg. I didn't put it in the fridge and it was green and furry, as Marilyn says, within two days. Was I mad. Here in the Caribbean I always keep it in the fridge.
