Guest guest
Dear ,I am so glad to see that you are coming to the Partners conference in ville. This will be so helpful to you !!! You will be so glad that you came and it will really help guide youto getting better care. The information you get will help you ask the right questions of your health care providers. I learn something new every year. One of the first things you might want to learn is if your husband's urso dose is high enough.A lot of people here are taking the high dose which is 20-30mg/kg/of body weight.1,500mg for your husband sounds a little low unless he is pretty thin.It might be right, but you can check.I look forward to meeting you and your husband at the conference !!!LeeWhile he seems to be ok with the diagnosis, his family (including myself) have had a very hard time accepting the news. I have tried to do lots of research when I get a chance. This has left me with many questions. After having the diagnosis we were sent to a liver specialist at IU Med Ctr in Indianapolis, IN. The specialist blew off the disease and never mentioned the transplant list. He told us that maybe in 5-10 yrs he may have a problem that will need to be accessed. He handed him a script for URSO (500MG, 3 times a day). It goes with saying that I feel we need to see another doctor, but I don't even know where to start to find a doctor for a second opinion or what questions to ask another doctor. Any advice would be great. We are going to ville in May to learn from others as well..
