Guest guest
I do agree with the others as well. I feel sick at least once a week (stabbing/inflammed feeling in the URQ and around to the back)ranging from 5-10 level. If I call my GI/Hep he just asks me " do you have fever or chills/jaundice? " if I say " no " he says just rest, use heating pad and take the pain killers I perscribed. Nothing they can do really. If I have fever at 38.5 degrees C then I am to call him and he will give me antibiotics-but until I reach that level there is nothing he can do. Guest guest
My Dr. has prescribed me Hyoscyamine for this problem. It only works if I catch the pain while still at the 3-5 level. I only use it if the pain lasts more then a minute or two but when I do use it and I catch the pain early it really helps. Hyoscyamine is an anticholinergic/antispasmodic which helps to relax the smooth muscle tissues of my bile ducts when they become inflamed. I take it as a sublinqual as needed. There is a long acting version of the medication, but it is to strong for me. The medication causes dry mouth and can mess with your vision, but for me, it has been a god send.
