You actually cannot bring a jar of nut butter (in your carry on, at least) - I tried to do that and it was taken away - they said it's considered a liquid.TashaSubject: RE: Help Please! Must Travel By PlaneTo: BTVC-SCD Date: Friday, June 5, 2009, 6:35 AM

Whenever I have traveled I have taken SCD muffins, brownies,

cookies and nuts in a carry on for a quick snack. You could also take a jar of

nut butter (?). Drink lots of water and legal juices when flying as flying

dehydrates the body. Carol P. Crohn’s

Subject: Help Please! Must Travel By Plane

I was diagnosed last October with Crohn's and

started SCD in mid January. I stay close to home or work, within my safe space

all is okay. I must travel to 3 cities by plane and will spend long days making

photos (that is what I do) and hopping from plane to plane. So, I'm trying to

put some food plans together. I normally eat 4 things available at restaurants.

Plain steak, Eggs, Cheese and Sauteed Mushrooms with butter only.

Need something available at an airport. Maybe McD or 's burger - meat

only. Is that okay? What else might be available? All ideas are appreciated.

Can I put any food in carry-on? Frozen Yogurt or cooked chicken pieces? I don't

do raw fruit or veggies. Can I put food or frozen yogurt or SCD spaghetti sauce

in check-in luggage wrapped in ice packs.

Any food ideas whether it's carrying them or finding something readily

available after landing. All is appreciated.
