Guest guest
First of all what I think I hear you saying is that you really do not want to take the meds, but are doing it for your family. I also hate to take meds, but they will be a daily part of our lives pre and obviously post trantsplant. Maybe a digital watch with alarms would be helpful. If you can safely do so keep some of your meds in med bottles (labeled correctly) at work etc. I read a poem from a transplant member that talked about making meds your friend that reminds you how lucky you are to be alive and uses the time refilling his weekly/daily pill boxes a time to rejoice that he has another week added to his life. Not to sound harsh, but do you loose your wallet or forget to take it with you? Probably not since it is important to you. Unless your memory is being affected by your illness than thats a whole nother story! May you have many many many days of taking pills left in your life. I have a hard time remembering to take my meds. I try doing it with my meals but there are days when I only eat two meals and I have to take my meds three times a day. I have gotten me a daily pill box but that doesn't seem to help me. I keep losing the days boxes plus I don't take the time to refill them. Can you all offer me some suggestions and to what I can do to help remember to take my meds? > > Whitfield > UC 97 PSC 99 >
