Guest guest
Okay, all: Update on the LIbby saga..the ER released her about 7:30 pm last night and she called me from the car as Dash was driving her home. What a good fellow. He missed work to be with her all afternoon at the ER. Libs was feeling better when I talked with her but was just weak and tired. The ER docs couldn't find anything with the testing they did and advised her (big surprise) to go see her regular doctor in the morning. The good part of this, I think, is that this gives LIbs the reason to finally get herself into a hep's office in LA. Up to this point, she had no reason to establish any relationship with a local doc. She had been doing fine with USC's health clinic and periodic visits to her hep down here in San Diego (who was wonderful and called us first thing this morning to follow up and make sure we had the LA doc's name and number). So, we have a good LA referral and Libby promised me she would make an appointment today. Preferring to go the " glass is half full " route, this was a good thing. Heck, her biggest worry was about losing the job interviews scheduled for yesterday and both places were wonderful and rescheduled. So much for our reality check yesterday. Thank you all for holding my hand. I appreciated it so much....don't know how I could have gotten through the day without your help. What a wonderful group. Mom to Libby, 23 yrs. old, (psc 03) still the greatest kid on the planet. just a little tired and weak this morning.
Guest guest
Well ,Our outcome a couple of weeks ago with Bill was the same.Hours in the ER, no explanation for all the abdominal pain and thenfollowing up with his Dr. the next day to be told to wait and see.He was so mad to be missing rehearsal for nothing but I knewthe pain must have been bad if he was willing to go to the ER in the first place.So...... Always a concern,LeeGreat news actually that she was also able to go home and follow up.Thanks for letting us know.Okay, all: Update on the LIbby saga..the ER released her about 7:30 pm last nightand she called me from the car as Dash was driving her home.
