Guest guest
That’s funny. I am happy your mom is supportive. You are so blessed that she is the kind of support you need. My husband has severe issues with his mom concerning his healthcare. She is very intrusive and has offended his doctors as well as me numerous times over his care. Ironically, since becoming he moved out and we got married (thus out of her care)- his health has improved dramatically (he has no symptoms of colitis or PSC and his headaches are limited in their frequency and severity- a complete turn around from before our wedding). My husband feels bad that he has to exclude her from this huge aspect of his life, but her “help” has always made things worse in the past. I even have to be careful about venting to her my emotions concerning his health; otherwise she takes it as an invitation to give advice. It always causes more problems than it’s worth. You are so lucky to have support without it being suffocating and interference! Everyone needs a strong and supportive advocate. I am glad your mom fills those shoes for you!
