Guest guest
I will bite with 2 comments: 1.? Funny how ambulances keep getting used in advertising and cartoons when there is nothing mentioned about EMS in any of the legislation... 2.? Equally as funny, how can a party that cannot stop ANY piece of legislation because of their super-minority status in both houses of Congress keep getting blamed for road blocking this...seems to me the problem is the party in majority cannot agree amongst itself. That's it.? Hope everyone has a great week. Dudley Cartoon I found the following link to a political cartoon in my in-box this morning. Left side - Right side or straight down the middle, the cartoon has interest and maybe fodder for conversation. http://gazettextra.com/photos/2009/sep/13/20973/ The Janesville Gazette Wisconsin. bkw

Guest guest
Dudley, The cartoon struck me in so many different ways, you touched on a couple. The most complimentary use of the ambulance was maybe depicting BHO to the rescue. That was not my first thought when seeing the cartoon. I'm a little troubled about the safe on the back of the pachyderm. A lot of latitude for interpretation. Guess in the big story line, blame the guys that oppose you so that those in your own party that oppose you do not have to take the hit. When was the last time that all three houses were filled by the same party and hold a super majority in the Senate and still have trouble passing a piece of legislation? It is amazing that most everyone agrees reform is needed. The package on the table is not the solution may of us want to see. Take care, bkw ________________________________ To: texasems-l Sent: Sunday, September 13, 2009 3:16:44 PM Subject: Re: Cartoon I will bite with 2 comments: 1.? It would have been more accurate if, instead of being blocked by the elephant, the ambulance was being chased by lawyers. Rob
