Guest guest
, In Andy's book he also recommends hydrocortisone and carbamazepine and a few others i think (page 118-120) question My question is my nutritionist prescibed isocort for my adreanl problem 4-5 years ago and i do not think it did much. is this the same/similiar as the above two drugs question Also, I am guessing that hydrocortisone and the other drugs need to be prescibed by a doctor and hence we should have a doctor doing these adrenal tests so we don't create more work for ourselves question for diet, is this just low sugar and low carbs or " slow carbs " so we keep our blood sugar down, I don't or can't seem to find what andy says about diet for low adrenals (assuming its low adrenals that we have) Thank you, > Make sure adrenals are supported. Use a doctor for advice, or not. Get testing through a doctor or on your own. Treat through a doctor or on your own. These are independent. > question > for diet, is this just low sugar and low carbs or " slow carbs " so we > keep our blood sugar down, I don't or can't seem to find what andy > says about diet for low adrenals (assuming its low adrenals that we > have) The aim is to keep the blood sugar steady and at a reasonable level. I think people have somewhat different problems and the specifics of the diet will vary. In general low or no sugar, low and/or " slow " carbs, protein with every meal and snack, frequent snacks. A list of the glycemic index for various foods can be helpful. -- > Thank you, > > > Make sure adrenals are supported. Andy also suggests ingesting OTC Hydrocortisone cream if you need to " prove a point " to a reluctant doctor to show that indeed, prescription hydrocortisone would help.
