Guest guest
It most definitely slows healing down for me. I over-indulged in carbs (and advanced ones at that) during the past few days and am paying for it with symptoms that I haven't had in months. There is a very direct and obvious correlation between high carb intake and uncomfortable digestive symptoms for people with IBD. Having said that, it's very difficult to curb the carb cravings consistently. I just try to start over the next day and get back on track. I am underweight too, but for me the priority is to heal. Gaining weight comes second. I doubt that being underweight harms my health to the same extent that eating things that cause malabsorption and inflammation does. - > > > > Fitday.com is also good.
