Guest guest
n, Do you take LDN? If so, what has been your experience? I am very interested in trying it. I have UC and have never really went into remission. A good day for me is still nothing to brag about. After almost 1 month, my energy is better but my stools have really not improved that much.I have been dx celiac (7 yrs) and type I diabetes (1 yr) AND chronic D with unknown cause. My sed rate now is 73, so there is clearly active inflammation in my system. I've been on the diet for a month and noticed slight changes in my BM (but unfortunately, not the frequency). Because of the diabetes I have learned a lot about carbs, and how the average person needs 130g for the body to have enought energy. So I've been doing the intro diet with bananas and applesauce so that I have carbs. I've also just started making my SCD yogurt (hope I'm making it right). I had visitors during my 3rd week and ate SCD-legal foods, but definitely outside of the intro diet guidelines. Can I still consider that as adhering to the diet or am I making glaring errors in my food choices and not seeing the results I want. Please help! Bananas and apples are quite high in carbs. Where did you find a source that says you (we) need "130g for the body to have enough energy"? 130 grams in what period of time? If in one day that's VERY high. The body can, and does, produce carbs from fats and proteins, but cannot produce fats or proteins from carbs. A high-carb diet is the health scourge of our culture. I suggest you stay on the diet -- eat whatever legal foods your system tolerates (and that will increase over time, and quickly for some people) and also start taking LDN (low-dose naltrexone), which will begin to regulate your immune system, and thus have an effect on the inflammation. n Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync.
