Guest guest
Hi Cat, I am 1 year out and have lost 160 lbs and have not done any exercise at all. The only reason why I haven't exercised is the horrible pain in my upper back which started after the surgery. They still do not know what it is. So I have lost lots of weight with no exercise but if my back was okay, I would have been doing a lot of exercise. Hope that answers your question. Guest guest
, of all people, with that record-shattering weight loss I'm shocked that you didn't exercise! I would have figured you for being in the gym every day, teaching aerobics! You must have eaten like nothing if you didn't exercise. That's totally amazing. You must have great metabolism. --Cat > > Hi Cat, I am 1 year out and have lost 160 lbs and have not done any > exercise at all. Guest guest
Donna, don't be too hard on yourself. It sounds like you've made a good start. Keep up the good work! --Cat > > --- CAT ... i am not doing has good has i am to,, i walk few times a > week, just got a treadmill,, n i bought some toning bands,,, i just > was released to do liting so my execise has been limited c ya donna
Guest guest
I was told by my surgeon's folks that I would lose a lot of weight even without exercising and that exercising may speed it up and make it more pronounced. Also, if you never ever exercise you will have more difficulty maintaining the weight loss. It doesn't take a math wiz to figure that out though. Guest guest
I walk on a treadmill for about 45mins a day 4-5 times a week. Since I am pre-op I hope to increase this after surgery.
Guest guest
That's a great workout. No doubt you'll be able to increase, but even if you don't, you're doing a lot. --Cat > > I walk on a treadmill for about 45mins a day 4-5 times a week. Guest guest
I do 60 minutes on Tony Little's Gazzell 4 to 5x a week and the bowflex 3x a week. Guest guest
Very impressive, Liz! Do you think it has accelerated your weight loss? --Cat > > > > Just wondering what form of exercise do you do (if any) and how often > > per week? How long are your workouts/walks/runs, etc.? Guest guest
Yes I believe it has. The gazzell is very low impact on the back and I only do the bowflex exercises that don't effect my back. The funny thing is I wanted to work out not so much for the weight loss, but to try to avoid the lose skin issue. Guest guest
I walk at least thirty minutes a day, and recently I have added going to the gym. I do at least thirty minutes cardio, and then I hit the weights. I think this has caused my weight to fall off of me! I feel great afterwards, and it improves my overall appearance and mental health! lisamathis
Guest guest
A HA BWBB just to confuse you TWEED refers to an area rather than an actual town... Tweed Heads is the main town, but there are several more in the vicinity & I'm not yet sure which specific place lives! About 1.15 hours depending on traffic from Lismore! Guest guest
SGIO Still just can't find what roads to take to drive there from here.....lol I realize by air its a little over 10,000 miles so I'm guessing by road it should be about 13,000 miles. Not sure about transatlantic traffic and speeds but at 50 mph that would be 260 hours and driving 8 hours a day (thats my limit) then could drive it in 33 days or so. Oh my....bet gas prices are higher across the ocean. I estimate $2400 in gas, a couple of oil changes on the way. Hotel rooms.....33 nights.....wonder what the rates. Maybe $6600. Oh my....and this is just one way. I'm beginning to think driving from here to the Tweeds may not be practical. > > > > > > > > gina thanks! > > > > i have had someone mention something like that just recently so > will > > > go > > > > and chase it up! > > > > > > > > your support is very encouraging. > > > > xx > > > > > > > > > >
