I do believe that Jim is right, because the county commissioner that is on GETAC

said once during a meeting that a county cannot pass ordinances, because

something was brought up about a county ambulance ordinance or something and she

stated this.  Now, they can pass certain things like burn bans and things like

that.

Question to the group...Can a city enact an ordinace prohibiting a provider from

transporting a patient back to their residence out of the city limits?  this is

a city ordinace not a county ordinance.  The EMS provider for example wants to

transport patients back to residence after dialysis, radiation, doctor's

appointments even though the patient is not a citizen of said city.  The

officers of said city are trying to enforce the ordinance, however even they are

not well versed on the ordinance.  In case you are wondering the city is

Harlingen and the provider is STEC.
