Guest guest
From what I've been told, the D&C will enhance cramps on your period if really close to when you had it. I'm no expert, though. Guest guest
Hi all, I just had my post op check. I will be 3 weeks post op this Wed., for an abdominal myo. I am still having pretty intense pain in my lower right groin area. The dr. said this is where the knot is. He said he used a fishing line type of material, to sew things together, so I won't rip. Oy vey, I have never heard of this. I have had two c-sections and never experienced this. Have any of you had this??? Thanks Amy
Guest guest
Amy, I did have pain but not intense, and it went away. I did not know what my doctor used for the inside. The question is, did he say how long it would take for the material to dissolve? And did he say if there is anything you can do to help ease the pain? That is, how long do you suppose to suffer? Guest guest
Hi Amy, I had an ab myo 2/19...I know exactly what you mean by the knot - mine can be felt through my skin at the bottom of my vertical incision. It does not give me pain on a regular basis, but every once in a while if I turn or bend a certain way it stabs me from the inside and really hurts. My Dr. had to use the 'extra strength' material on me as I'd had an emergency c/section a year earlier in the same spot and she wanted to make sure it closed well as we are hoping to have 1 or 2 more babies in the next few years. She said it would eventually dissolve but would take a while. I hope that he gave you some suggestions on controlling the pain and that yours dissolves quickly. Guest guest
Jackie, he did not say how long it would take to go away. He told me to use a heating pad and take ibuprofen. It really is slowing me down, but maybe that is a good thing, so I won't over do! Amy --- Jackie Sladky jackie@...> wrote: > Amy, I did have pain but not intense, and it went > away. Guest guest
The answer is a big YES. It certainly does mess with us when the weather gets cooler or rain moves in. It really flares with me when rain is in the forecast. hugs, Debra V. Subject: Pain To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 6:06 AM I was wondering if rain effects anyone else. I know for the last few days I feel like I hurt more. I know it is not my RA because it is in the muscles and not my joints. I feel like I have worked out hard and have done nothing. I didn't know that rain could effect the fibro. or is it just flairing up. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Guest guest
I have noticed that the rain does make the pain worse, but what I find makes it the worst is when the weather is changing alot like when its nice today and rain tomorow and then nice again the next day I get alot of pain each time it changes. Guest guest
Heck yeah. I can feel the pain before the rain even gets here. It's like being a miserable human barometer. Guest guest
> > I was wondering if rain effects anyone else. I always can tell when we are going to have a rain storm. My body will ache all over and I will not be able to sleep at night for the pain. Cold weather is worse yet. Lilli (ks newbie)
Guest guest
I can literaly be unaware of an approaching thunderstorm, and feel the sudden drop in barometric pressure long before it arrives. Usually I hear the rolls of thunder, then understand why my lower back feels like a sardine lid being rolled open.
Guest guest
Since Saturday, I have been experiencing pain that goes from just below the right rib cage, it goes up my chest, through my shoulder and into my back in the area of my shoulder blade. I have not done anything to pull or strain any muscles so I wonder if it is associated with PSC. It is not a constant pain. It comes and goes but last night it was very uncomfortable. I just wanted to see if any of you have had the same problem. Thanks. Guest guest
This is one of the classic symptoms of cholangitis (URQ pain radiating to the back). I've only experienced it once myself, but it was accompanied by fever, chills, dark urine, pale stools (some also get nausea and vomiting, jaundice, pruritus). If you get more symptoms, you should be seen. My hepatologist advised me to go to the ER if I experienced it again. Guest guest
I feel great. I was very, very tired yesterday but I chalked it up to a very full week. I did not think anything about it at first but it is starting to get my attention now. It has not hurt today but it seems to come out of nowhere and then it isn't fun. Does the pain associated with cholangitis happen like that (one second it isn't there and the next it is there in a big way)? If I start running fever, etc. I will call my doc. In 7 years I have never had a cholangitis attack (that I know of) and I hope this isn't my first. Thanks. >>> stonehollowmn@...> 5/15/2008 12:59 PM >>> This is one of the classic symptoms of cholangitis (URQ pain radiating to the back).
