Guest guest
He had an ercp about a month after the ultrasound and the doctor said that the dye went into the gallbladder so the duct wasn't blocked. But the doctor didn't have an explaination for the distention other than to say that maybe he was hungry when the ultrasound was performed and maybe that made it appear distended. I asked about an MRI to double check and he said that wasn't necessary. During the ultrasound the tech was not able to find the spleen either. She said that the liver seemed to go over to the left side pretty far and maybe the spleen was behind the liver. Again I asked if an MRI should be done to look at that and the doctor said no. My husband said his pain is more in the middle of his abdomen and over to the left side going under his ribs. I don't know if that is related to any of this or not. > > Did the gallbladder pain come and go? > Yes, it tended to hit after a meal especially if the meal was large and > high in fat (Pizza had me rolling around on the floor in agony all night). > What doc ordered the ultrasound? Guest guest
Re: psc related? You can't go wrong getting another opinion especially with pain and yellow eyes and it sounds like an enlarged liver if they can't see the spleen> >
