Guest guest
Arne, Literature states that 75% of people with PSC also have IBD and that your poll agrees with that (73%) even when only 37 people responded. Another interesting thing is that all the other autoimmune diseases that are mentioned also appear more often than in the general population. I don't think that 14% of a control group would have asthma, or 8% Fibromyalgia or Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is also very interesting that 37 people with PSC, would have 96 autoimmune diseases altogether. Almost 2.6 each! This definitely suggests that it has to be something related to autoimmune responses. I hope even more people will respond to the poll. Guest guest
What about a poll asking about immediate FAMILY MEMBERS who have any of these conditions, since tendency for autoimmune disorders has a genetic predisposition component. has PSC and Hypothyroidism. I have Fibromyalgia and Reynaud's.
