Guest guest
Donna, I found a great way to still enjoy tuna salad. Walmart has Kraft Tuna Salad Maker. It's $2.79 for 18 oz. Use sparingly, it has per 1 Tbsp: 2gm fat, 130mg sodium and 3g carbs. It tastes kinda like pickles but I like pickles with my tuna anyway. The Tuna Salad Helper is much healthier than Mayo. Hope this helps some. Guest guest
I've seen or thought of pureeing these things but I won't be able to try them until late December so I can't say if they are good or not. chili - should be good meatballs with a little pasta sauce (low sugar) soup - I did try this. It was OK, definitely different. beans (pintos, butter beans, etc.) winter squash like acorn puree some of the prepared meats like the roast or meatloaf puree prepackaged beef or chicken taco meat (watch the sugar) mix SF pie filling or jam in with ricotta cheese I love refried beans so I'll be eating quite a bit of that. I might mix some cheez whiz or something in with them. I also like mashed potatoes. I have some unflavored protein powder that I'll mix with them. Most meats sound like they'd be nasty pureed. I might try a little turkey pureed with gravy. I only eat it at Thanksgiving so if it's gross it won't be like I've ruined one of my favorite foods. in MI > > well wednesday i go to my surgeon for 2 week check up,, see how much i > lost.. n i know they will put me on puree foods. i can t stand thiking > of tuna or salmon,, being mushy.. if any one has any good tasting > things e mail them to me .. someone had talked of ricotta cheese n > mixing it with something i 4get what.. ok thxs c ya donna >
Guest guest
You are so lucky to be going on pureed foods so soon. I can't go on them until I am six weeks out.
