Guest guest
I'm like this most of the time. Especially, lately. I'll lie down about 11:00am and sleep the whole day away. Guest guest
That is normal for me. I think it has to do with the lack of sleep at night from tossing and turning so much. > > OH my. Guest guest
Sleep? Me? takes a lot to keep me awake for more than 5 hours at a stretch. Then im exhausted and lay down for a liiiiitle nap -boom it's 7 hours later. Years ago this would happen occassioaly. Once I was three hours late picking my child up from preschool cause i was so dead asleep i didn't hear the phone ringing, they were trying to tell me i was late. I felt like worlds worst mom. troubled kid, lives with his dad now and has run away. But he was a good baby. I sleep a lot. Peace Wenzdai > OH my. Yesterday I was tired, bone tired. Guest guest
Yep, Mondays are hard for me. I was fired from my job in November, took too many sick days. We still have the boys (3 & 16 months) in day care so I can look for a job. DH works a lot and is never home on weekends. So, taking care of the boys all weekend alone kills me. I sleep most of Mondays away. My boys are such energy sucker!
Guest guest
GIrlsaylor, hello! i go through that almost every day. i sleep all through the night, then I awaken and have my morning meds and breakfast-- and then boom I'm asleep again until 1200 pm. i fight this with sonata at night and two doses of provigil, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. if the provigil doesnt work i have been using half a bottle of that 5 hour energy at a time. now if i'm still yawning i will usually make a good cup of coffee around 11 or 12. taking a walk and having a light breakfast without many carbs helps too. I think it has to do with the fibro, your sleep patterns and it could be the precursor to diabetes if you are in that danger zone. i am in danger of being diabetic. i am overweight, hispanic and not as active as they would like me to be. i check my blood sugar when i can on my father's metre while fasting, and i am lucky so far to have a healthy reading of 90. gentle hugs, Loretta > > OH my. Guest guest
Girlslayor, I deal with this many times, especially on the weekends. Guest guest
Girlsayler, I have naps that can turn into longer ones when my house is empty. If I'm home by myself most of the time I am lying down on my couch or futon either napping or resting. When my family is home, 4 sons and hubby, I don't get much for naps. On the weekends when I can sleep in I usually sleep until about 10:30-11:00, there have been times that I selep until 1:00pm. But on the other hand during the week I usually go to bed around 10:30pm but don't get to sleep until almost midnight and then I am awake at 5:00am, do this Sunday-Thursday nights. Now the weekends I am usually up until 1:30-2:00am and try to sleep in past 9:00 if I'm lucky. Here lately I have been sleeping past 9:30am and not getting up until after 10:30 but when I really oversleep my body hurts so bad when I wake up that most of the time it takes me a couple of hours to get moving like I need to. I don't have a chance of diabetes, was actually tested here not to long ago because of dizzy spells, so mine is caused by the fibro. It sucks especially when you have 4 boys living at home, 1 in baseball, 1 getting into trouble every time you turn around plus I take care of my grandson and great-nephew during the week, one is almost 2 1/2 the other is 7 months, so I have my hands full. I just drink hot tea, Pepsi and take my all natural products that give me energy plus help with the pain. Take care, > > > > > OH my. Yesterday I was tired, bone tired. Guest guest
I sleep a lot on weekends - I think because I don't sleep well during the week, plus add working 45 hours. I love to sleep but I always have. I've always been one to stay up at night and sleep until noon or later LOL. That has not changed. I can get up, have breakfast, check my emal and go back to bed until 12 or 1:00. People just don't understand how I can do that. And many a Sundays is spent 'reading' (yea right) in my recliner! Sometimes we just need sleep hugs jant6886 jant6886@...> wrote: Girlsayler, I have naps that can turn into longer ones when my house is empty. Guest guest
Yes, my naps tend to be marathon sleep sessions as well. They run about 3-5 hours. I sometimes wonder if I don't have Chronic Fatigue as well which may explain why my fibro is so unpredictable. We'll see after I find out what is going on with my thyroid, tend to my cyst that's on my ovary if other steps need to be taken, and start planning for surgery on my ankle within the next couple months. Guest guest
I have what I call " crash and burn " days about once a week. Give or take. Even when we were camping I crawled in the motorhome for a little nap and ended up sleeping 4-5 hours; and I didn't even hear them fixing and eating dinner. I normally wake at a pin drop. But crash and burn is like being in a coma; you can't wake up if you want to. I had another one today. They seem to come after a particularly busy (or stressful) day. The crash and burns have a lot to do with why I can't work anymore. They just don't understand. Guest guest
Good name for it, Angie. Crash and Burn is right. I do this all the time. I can NOT wake up easily from these sleeps. If someone wakes me up, I am so groggy and in more pain and it literally takes me hours to get moving. If I wake up naturally, I feel pretty good. Take care. Guest guest
I too have crash and burn day. I can't keep my eyes open and fall asleep mid sentence. I don't see any pattern to them with regards to stress levels or amount that I have done. All I know is that at least every 5 days I will have a bad day and be unable to stay awake. It seems like we can't win. You do to much and fatigue, or it extreme pain and you can do nothing or your just plan dumb with fibrofog. And if you can get all that working well the IBS or incontenence kicks in and you need to live near the bathroom!!! Can you spell frustration! Guest guest
Oh Loretta, I'm so sorry you have this problem also. And the precursor to diabetes? Now that is scarey for me also, as my mom, her twin brother, and my older brother all developed diabetes in the last 5 years. I also am way too heavy, from steroids for my lung condition. Inactivity is my middle name these days also. Sigh...another red flag I should pay attention to. My normal sleep schedule is about 4 to 5 hours a night and since I'm not getting decent sleep, my fibro acts up. Guest guest
Hi, I am Sherri in Aurora, CO. I just wanted to respond to this strand. I just had one of those marathon sleep things today. My questions is, do any of you have the warning sign that it is going to be one of those marathon sessions? I do. About 10 minutes before I crash, I start shaking and feeling desperate to lay down. I once had to pull over and sleep for about 5 hours in my car. It is really scary. It doesn't happen everyday, but when it does, I pray that I am at home. I almost fear to go too far from home. I only have to go to my office twice a week, but it is at least a 30 minute drive.
