I do not have carpal tunnel and I do not have Raynaud's. My fingers just go

numb sometimes for no reason. I know it is not carpal tunnel because I was

checked for it. (I thought that is what it was for years until the fibro go bad

and I was diagnosed). I do not have Raynauds either because there is absolutely

no color change or temp changes in my hands and it happens regardless of cold or

warm weather. It is part of the Fibromyalgia in my case. I will also mention

that alot of people here have numbness and tingling of other areas of the body

that comes and goes with no explanation.

Debra,

Raynaud's is not the answer to all numb hands. It's very common for fibro

people to have neuropathic pain and numbness, that comes and goes just like you

said. In the hands it can (not always) be caused by nutritional and/or hormonal

deficiencies. It wouldn't hurt to try and treat it this way. Obviously,

neuropathy is very tricky to treat. I'm trying to treat mine with vitamins and

hormones (I was tested) and it has not helped. But, everyone responds

differently. Other areas of the body can be effected by diabetes, nerve

entrapment, trigeminal neuralgia, and postherpetic (shingles). Numbness is

actually the lowest form of pain. Mine started as numbness and has recently

gotten much worse. Also, high levels of B6 can cause neuropathy.

She works for a doctor who is 71 who should not be practicing..he has as bad a

The outside of my right thigh has been numb for 2 1/2 years now, I

can actually take an ink pen and stab myself, I don't do it a lot,

and I don't feel it. I had someone say that I was lying about the

numbness in my thigh so that is when I did the ink pen thing and

their eyes about fell out of their head. I also have tingling in the

same area and also have it going up the right side of my back when I

stand in one place to long, example: doing dishes, cutting veggies or

something like that. It really bites when I have an itch on my thigh

and I can't feel myself scratching it, LOL, it can get rather

annoying sometimes but I just deal with it. Don't really think about

it much anymore because I am used to the fact that my thigh is numb.

Hi y'all,

My big toe and the one next to it on my right foot (almost said on my right

front foot) are numb. They don't hurt but they don't move right either.

Sometimes they have a funny kind of feeling, but mostly they are just not there.

Numbness and tingling of the hand could also be down to spondylosis of the

cervical region. This is what I have and find that my hand goes numb and

tingles.
