Guest guest
I have not been formally diagnosed with anything yet. My insurance started on March 3 of this year. I went in for a comphrensive physical on April 1. I did have a thyroid test done back in February. I also saw a podiatrist in March. Ok. I got a denial letter on the podiatrist visit for $100, claiming preexisting condition. I'm guessing that everything I might possibly be diagnosed with (fatigue, muscle spasms, pain, " brain fog " , etc.) is going to now be a preexisting condition?? If so, I'm so screwed, since I'm barely scraping by. I am sole support of a daughter getting ready to leave for college and a daughter who is 11 with Down syndrome and autism. If I have no coverage, I can't afford all this medical testing the doctor just did. If I keep working, I won't qualify for a state medical card. If I quit to get the medical card, I can't afford to support us. Nice mess, huh? And the doctor tells me to keep my stress level down. Guest guest
I worked for an HMO in NY, not sure where you are. Did you have coverage before you picked up this coverage? If so, you should be OK. you can always ask for an appeal. Let me know if you have questions.
