Guest guest
Ok, regarding the gall bladder discussion. I feel like I'm an expert on this subject because I've suffered so much from it. I had my gall bladder removed in 05. I DID NOT have stones, rather using a test called hida scan - they determined that my gall bladder had ceased functioning. This was causing bile to back up into my liver which is pretty painful. When they took out the GB, they looked for stones at that time in the ducts (which are not removed) in case some had " partially " passed. Even now, three years later I still have what I call " attacks " because it is this sharp pain that feels exactly like before they removed the gall bladder. I've had a bazillon sonograms, tests, blah, blah, blah. No one can figure anything out. Then about two weeks ago, I went in for some " female " stuff. The doc decided to do a D&C to remove a growth from my uterus and to do a laproscopic exam while I was under. He found massive amounts of scar tissue and lasered it all out. I have not had one of those " attacks " since then. One of the girls I work with had been having the exact same thing as me (gall bladder quit working, had it removed, still had terrible " attacks " )which is what made me to go ther OB/GYN. She had the laproscopic exam where he found scar tissue and endometreosis for her. She feels 100% better as well. All that to say that sometimes even though something walks like a duck and quacks like a duck - it isn't a duck. I never suspected scar tissue from the original surgery to be what was causing the same painful symptoms as the bad Gall bladder did but.... Guest guest
I had the same thing happen. Now my gallbladder came out in 1987, the old-fashioned full incision way. Part of my journey to getting diagnosed with FM was because of recurring pain in that gallbladder area. My doc thought it was chostochondritis. It probably was to a point. But then in March of 05, my bariatric surgeon did an exploratory on me searching for a hidden ulcer and found tons of scar tissue. It was amazing how much difference that made after having the scar tissue removed. Jeanne in WI Then about two weeks ago, I went in for some " female " stuff.
