Guest guest
The letter I received from SS stated that I could request a hearing. I guess that's the last step on the first filing. I was so upset today I didn't even bother to call Allsup. I am sure they will be in touch with me tomorrow since a copy went to them too. I just couldn't believe it. I have medical records showing nerve damage. MRI's showing severally herniated disc in Lumbar and Thoracic, the Fibro, major depression and a panic disorder. I just don't understand HOW they could make that decision. Allsup has stated that if it goes into a hearing they will fly an attorney to my location for the hearing. Don't get me wrong Allsup has been wonderful during this entire process. They have shown me more compassion than I could ever express. I am just still in shock of the entire thing. Even if I went back to an office job I would still have the same problems. I know right now that working security is out of the question. I go for an appointment with my Neuro next Tuesday so we will see what he says about it. Thanks for your kind words, Debra B SS Determination > > Well, I am just in shock! I received a letter from SS regarding disability and I was turned down again. I have Allsup working with me to help with all the forms and even though I have several herniated disc up and down my spine, depression, panic disorder and fibromyalgia I was turned down. My quaility of life has gone from doing everything to hardly able to get out of bed. I can't walk more than a few steps before the back pain is just unbearable. They stated that since I was being " treated " for this conditions I was able to perform the job that I had prior to my illness. I was a security guard for the State of Texas at a hospital here in Tyler. I walked 4 miles during an 8 hour shift and would have to be ready for anything from restraining unruly visitors and patients to running up and down several flights of stairs. I had to respond to fire calls, vehicle assist calls and patrol 70acres of land. Yeap!!! I can do that!!! HOW do they think I can do > these things? Just because one is being " treated " for a condition doesn't mean it's all under control!! I was so upset I just sat and cried. I guess now I just have to suck it up, deal with the pain and find a job. You know what's really sad is I know people who are on Disability that are out push mowing their yards and having a good quality of life and I can't get any help!!! They stated that the next step would be a hearing...don' t want to go through that!! > > Thanks for letting me vent! I love you all and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. > > Debra B > > ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ > Be a better friend, newshound, and > know-it-all with Yahoo!
