Guest guest
Hi Kat, Yes, I have the same thing happen all the time. If I try to move them too much like vaccuming or washing windows. I pay for it for days. It's mostly the upper arm and shoulders. I pop advil before and after a " workout " . Along with the regular pain killers. It takes the edge off. The other pain I get is from my neck up. Mostly my face. It's not a headache exactly. When it hurts I go nuts because just moving my eyes even when they are closed hurts like crazy. The first day I took the baclofin it felt like my face melted it had been so tight. Take care, Jan > Is is 'normal' to have arm pain (from the shoulder to the wrists) with > numbness and 'pins and needles' feeling? I have had this for over 7 > weeks. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Yeah.. Driving is a nightmare. I try to avoid it at all costs. But, it doesn't just happen while I am driving. I get it all the time. Like I said, it has been almost constant for over 7 weeks now. Kat > > I do Kat. > from the shoulder all the way to the finger tips. Guest guest
My legs to that when I drive. So, I don't drive unless I have too. My arms to it if I have to hold a phone or lift anything. Guest guest
Kat - Will your doctor prescribe some physical therapy for you? Something that has lasted this long obviously needs some special attention. Jeanne in WI Yeah.. Driving is a nightmare. I try to avoid it at all costs. But, it doesn't just happen while I am driving. Guest guest
Kat, You may need a muscle relaxer while your arm has some recovery time. I had a sprain/strain of my hip that was similar several months ago. I was put on Soma and took percosect for acouple of days because of the severity and then used vicodin as it improved. Talk to your dr and ask if it might help. he may even have you temporarily use a sling to rest the muscles. Guest guest
Thanx all for your replies. I am seeing my Dr on Wed. The muscle pain is getting a bit better sence I started on the lyrica, but the joint pain (shoulder, elbow and wrists) is still horrible. I just dont know how long I can deal with this. kat
Guest guest
Hi Kat, In addition to my Lyrica, I also take Celebrex...I know, it's gonna kill you...but I can't live without it.
