Guest guest
Welcome back, Angie. I am no working my way backwards on messages, because I've gotten so far behind. We have many new members so many more posts to go through. I don't like to miss anything! I'm sorry to hear you are in such pain and sick as well. I hope you can rest in between your business that needs to get done, and recover quickly. Take care, and you don't have to apologize for a pity party. We all have them. I am so sorry to learn of them. I don't know what to say. It's brought me to tears and left me speechless. > > > > I'm beat. The spring break vacation was stressful. I began getting sick the last few days. The last night I had a fever and horrible nightmares repeatedly all night. It's not good to shout out in your sleep when you are in an RV with 7 other people. > > > > I got a little sun; enough to make my face rash up right on the cheekbones so far. I'm lupus-rosy in the face, NOT sunburn. Those of you with Lupus know the drill. Of course, it was cool and windy and I didn't think I was getting much sun. I had sunblock on. I'm not even sure when or how I got it. At least there's a bit of a tan starting too. Gotta have an up side! > > > > Today I hurt everywhere. So much I can't even pinpoint things because it hurts all over. From my head to my feet. It's difficult to walk, etc. I'm pretty much being a big baby about it. I hurt all over and I'm so tired of feeling like this. I wish there was something to take away this pain. It's like a full body vice grip slowing getting tighter and tighter. I had an appt. with one of my lawyers today so I couldn't stay in bed. > > > > OK enough of my whining. I'm calling it a night. I of course have a busy week so I can't just hang out in bed. At least I have a doctor appt. tomorrow; I can whine to her. I'm on all my meds and yet I can barely walk and I hurt all over. I want to just sit and cry. Sometimes maybe I'm just in denial and think WTF - there's got to be something that can be done about this. > > > > I missed you guys. Guest guest
Well at least you can take the tramadol. I am allergic to it. I hope the increase helps you. I am not so sure about htis place I am going today. they treat with pt, injections and such. I cannot afford pt and the injections never worked on me. Probly gonna be a waste of time for me. I just looked at the website.http://www.spineteamtexas.com/index.aspx > I just came from the Rh. She upped 3 meds and is going to research > whether Topomax and Lyrica can be taken together. Guest guest
I remember you saying one time that you have a feather bed topper and you use a heated mattress pad. Does the mattress pad get too hot for the feathers? I'm so afraid of accidentally starting a fire, but to me that would be a very relaxing way to sleep. Apparently it is, since you also said that the kids love to climb into your bed. Any advice is always appreciated. I've recently had to stop all pain meds and have been only taken Advil. The prescription meds mess me up so badly, so I'm looking for alternative ways to be able to sleep and for pain relief. I'm heading to the YMCA today to see if I can get into an aquatic exercise program to see if that will help too. Guest guest
Tigger, I have the heated mattress pad on and then the featherbed. It does heat up very quickly. We don't leave it on very long and we honestly don't leave it on very high since we did it that way. When we first got it the mattress pad was on top of everything but now its underneath the featherbed. I haven't had any issues with it. The twins like it warmer than I do but even then I think they use a 4 setting. We used to normally keep it around 7 or 8.
