Guest guest
Yep. Mag citrate comes in a green glass bottle usually and is given as a powerful laxative. The mag oxide is what you have in the common magnesium supplement tabs. Now... not to say that maybe mag oxide won't loosen your bowels some too if you take enough of it. love and hugs, Debra V Subject: magnesium supps To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Date: Friday, April 25, 2008, 8:57 AM I'm glad you mentioned the mix-up, . I was thinking it was the other way around, too, but doubting myself. Jeanne in WI It's the other way around. Mag Citrate is what they give you for bowel prep. Mag Oxide has less of a laxative effect. Magnesium Glycinate has less of a laxative effect than either. That's what I take. I take Magnesium Glycinate by Pure Encapsulations. My osteopathic doc's office sells it, but I get it from www.illnessisoption al.com. It's available elsewhere too.
