Jeanne in WI It's the other way around. Mag Citrate is what they give you for bowel prep. Mag Oxide has less of a laxative effect. Magnesium Glycinate has less of a laxative effect than either. That's what I take. I take Magnesium Glycinate by Pure Encapsulations. My osteopathic doc's office sells it, but I get it from www.illnessisoptional.com. It's available elsewhere too.
