Shanara, the statistics that I've read on girls vs. boys with BPD say that

girls make up about 70 percent. So that leaves boys with the other

30 percent.

Some say that might be because girls are more prone to speak up regarding

'feelings', 'psych issues', etc. And boys are apt to be more guarded with

their feelings.

Who knows.... I just find it unfortunate that people suffer with this

disorder, but all we can do is try to deal with it.

If we all look at society in general, who doesn't have some PD? After

reading all this stuff, I have thought I may have had some BP tendencies myself

in

years past. I used to be terrified of being alone, feared abaondment

tremendously, I KNOW I have neirotic tendencies. But now I ENJOY being alone

and

wish everyone WOULD abandon me !!

Since having come here and reading all the messages from everybodyx,

I have begun to take a closer look at the other kids in this family.

My son. My nieces and their kids. My cousin's kids..... it seems

almost all these kids (many are adults now) have SOME sort of

personality disorder.

I SWEAR it's the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live in Toms River, NJ, the " cancer

cluster " that's been in the news for the past few years. drank the

tap water in our home from birth to ten years old. I often wonder about that.

But looking at other kids, it would appear to me to be just rebellious teens,

or normal teen behavior, without living with them you cannot say for sure.

Although, when I do hear of teens behaving such as my daughter did, I give them

a heads up.

We all know how families keep abnormal behaviors a secret from the

rest of the world....

Well, it's only recently that us adults in this family have been

sharing notes with each other about our kids. Wondering what

happened. Come to find out we all have a lot of crazy experiences in

common. OMG....what a wacky family. I must be the only sane one in

the pack. LOLOLOLOL

Shanara...who is going back to the sofa and reflect!
