my new one about fibro The Rain is Moving In Debra Van Ness

Just to let you all know that many of you have inspired this poetry I just

wrote. I read everyday about the disbelief and labels of fibro patients. I am a

very fortunate one in that (for now) I have a doctor who knows this illness is

real and for the most part, a family that believes me.

But this is a lonely disease and sometimes I feel like " The Rain is Moving IN " .

Rain is moving in as I feel the pain increase,

no one can see the misery of this silent evil beast.

Others become ill with diseases that we can see,

I set aside my pain to give my love so carefree.

I exist in some corner of a lonely silent pain,

They don't understand how these demons wax and wane.

The face of this monster wants to be unknown.

His exhaustion leaves me drained so I will sit alone.

Alone with all the labels they have chosen to create,

they beleive I am a liar never thinking of my fate.

Along the path of life I still put my feet in motion,

pain hides behind my smile, I exist and hide emotion.

If I cry they will say I only want attention... If I smile

then this illness is not worth a mention.

When I don't complain they say nothing must be wrong,

If I tell them of the horrors they say I am not strong.

I hear my friends, though their voices do not speak.

It is " simply in my head, I am a liar or just weak " .

Rain is moving in as the sunlight fades to gray....

life exists in clouds of a distant yesterday.

My emotions are now numb as I fight this evil pain.

I have learned that explanations are given all in vain.

Perhaps in tomorrows they will find the evil face,

as tingling turns to burning, today they see no trace.

Rain is moving in... Fibromyalgia hides my sun,

somehow I know the storm has only just begun.
