It's day 4 on new med, Focalin XR. No side effects until this morning when I

had a bad case of IBS-D and I have a headache again. I took 2 Midrin for the

headache at 12:30 and it helped for a while. I can tell it's just there waiting

to get worse again.

Now there are a couple of other possibilities for these symptoms, so I'm pretty

confused.

I've been trying to get back in the habit of drinking protein shakes during the

day, at least a couple. It's advised that someone with the type of gastric

bypass I have should drink up to 6 protein drinks a day.

I went for a couple years only drinking one periodically. So possibly, my

digestive system doesn't like the whey protein anymore? I just don't know.

Then, I am taking many more vitamins in an effort to boost some low levels. I

am not overdosing on anything, as again, my body does not absorb the vitamins

like normal people. But it's possible that my body is also reacting to this.

I just don't know how to sort it out. I hate the way that I'm feeling today. I

can barely function. I want so badly to find a med that will help with my

chronic fatigue and not make me sick. The first 3 days seemed great. Now I'm

confused, worried, depressed, frustrated.....you get the point.

I'm sorry for those of you who are also in pain and battling the chronic

fatigue. I wish I could offer you each individual support, but I'm barely

coping myself. Take care of yourselves and I will try to do the same.

Jeanne, I am so sorry to hear you are feeling so terrible.  I knew I had not

seen many posts from you lately.  I hope the meds get straightened out to

something you can tolerate

and that also work.

love,

Debra V.
