Guest guest
So yesterday was a pretty good day, my mom and I took my sister in law to register for her baby shower. My brother and her are adopting a little girl, who is due to be born at the end of next month/early July. Their first baby, and my sister in law has poly-ovarian cycist fibrosis (or is it poly-cycstic ovarian fibrosis? See this says how my brains working).. At any rate, they have been unable to conceive themselves, and were literally handed this chance to adopt, the birth mother is a relative of my sister in laws, and theyre being given full legal rights handed to them, etc. No complications, no hassle, etc. We're so excited for them. At any rate, we went registering. If Sears did not have the dumbest system around for registering, it would have cut an hour and a half out of our trip.. But to get her signed up to register there took an hour and a half. Actually looking at baby clothes was awesome, i love baby clothes LOL. Makes me remember when mine were that little.. But the grand total of time spent was about four hours, because we had two stores we had to register at, one for clothes and one for big items.. first baby, they have nothing yet. then after, hubby wanted to go see Iron Man so we went home, picked up hubby and sat in those terrible theater seats. I ended up unable to sleep cause my hip was so outa joint! Ahh! So today i feel run over by a truck. yesterday was a good day but man Im paying for it! It was one of those cases where I didnt have much choice and dont regret it, but Im gonna have to take it easy for the next like WEEK to get back to not hurting! Guest guest
Congratulations on the up-coming birth of your niece! I'm glad that you had such an enjoyable day, yesterday. It's great when you can have a day like that. They are few and far between, aren't they? Guest guest
Hi Nina, First, congratulations on the expected baby :-) I am adopted and that makes me special because I was chosen, that is the way I look at it. It is a shame we have to pay so dearly to go out and have fun. I hope that you don't flare too much dear. Guest guest
Nina, What a day! Hope today is less stressfull for you. I know how exciting it is to shop for baby clothes. I have my first grand daughter, she will be 6 months old this month, and when I tell my hubby I am going to Wal-Mart he just goes, UGH...., it's too funny. But, he is just as bad as I am. That little girl is so tightly wrapped around his little finger the tip of his finger is blue! ha!!! I am proud that they are able to adopt. I think that is just awesome!!!! Guest guest
Hehe ya, we have a boy and two girls ourself. When i got pregnant with our older girl, my husband was SO SURE we wre having a girl, the pregnancy was so different than our son's pregnancy, he went out and started buying all this girl clothes. Im going KEEP THE RECEIPT! hes like no! its a girl! No! its a girl! Course when he was right there was just no livin with him. He still recounts that story. Lol. He calls her Princess.. now SHE calls her princess. LOL.. Guess what her favorite thing is... Shes a doll though, My father is balding, and the other day we were out there visiting and hes taking a nap upstairs. well in good 5yo fashion, she goes upstairs, finds the magnifying glass.. and he wakes up to her examining the top of his head.. And when she sees hes awake she exclaims, in her best most excited little girl voice.. " Papa! You have no hairs!!!!! " I laughed so hard when i found that out.. > Nina, What a day!
