Hi Cindi - I'm sorry you were hurting so much yesterday. How much tramadol can

you take at a time? Most docs say only 50 mg. at a time, but you can take up to

100 mg. at one time. Also, take tylenol along with it. Sometimes, the two

together help.

Other than that, I can only suggest icing or heating options. I sure hope you

get some relief soon. Take care.

Hi to all my fellow fibromites! I have been mostly lurking on this message

board trying to learn all I can about my disease. However, today I need a

little encouragement myself so I am turning to you who

know best what I am talking about. I am in so much pain from the waist down

that I can hardly bear it. I am using a walker to get around but it is still

almost more than I can bear. The Tramadol I am taking doesn't seem to even be

knocking the edge off. It is kind of

overwhelming to think that this is mine for a lifetime! I should have stayed

home from work today but sometimes it seems to actually help to take my mind off

the pain. Thanks for listening. Cindi in KC

Cindi, you should talk to your doctor. My doctor will let me take 100

mg at a time on a regular basis and when I know that I am goign to be

doing something phsyical (i.e., Renessaince Faire all day or something

like that) she has even given me extra or told me to take an over the

counter pain reliever with it.

Hi Cindi and everyone

I am hurting a little today. I managed 10 minutes on my stationary bike

yesterday and that does so help my legs in the long run. Hopefully I will get on

it again tonight. It's something that I have to force myself to do and I have to

force myself to get at least 10 mins. I can't seem to get past the 10 minute

mark.

With all that went on Monday (my dog, etc) I DID get a very good report from

my doctor. My glucose is down to 82 and my cholesterol (which wasn't really high

to begin with) is down to 137 and my bad stuff is down to 47! YEA!

I take Tramadol with Ibuprofin or Naprisin also but not since I went from

Cymbalta back to the Celexa. The druggest scared me. My Cymbalta should be there

when I get home so I should start to see more pain relief and I can take the

Tramadol again. I can take 1-2 Tramadol every 4 hours and I think they are 50 mg

ea - I will have to check

hugs

Thanks to everyone for their support and helpful suggestions. I've

decided to take the next 2 days off work and hopefully get in to see

my dr for some additional pain meds.
