Guest guest
Debra, I have been thinking about what I can do for our cause, I don't know much about Fibromyalgia but I have been reading up on it and going through all the " fun " stuff for 2 1/2 years now. I am thinking about contacting a Christian station in northern Indiana about it and I also have a few other places that I can contact. I also know someone that works at our local newspaper, used to babysit for him, and I have thought about talking to him about it. One of my business partners has asked me if I would do a conference call on Fibromyalgia for our business and I have been considering doing that. I want to help get the word out about this disease because I know how many times I got " the look " from doctor's or the attitude from doctor's and I don't want anyone else to go through that. I will let you know what I find out. Take care, > > Just to say that I am feeling like crap. I felt good this morning and now that it is time for work, the change is here. I don't understand this disease how it can change from one hour to the next. Oh well, will be off this weekend. > Anyway, I am going to try to write at least 3 or 4 more letters to medias. I WILL NOT SHUT UP. I will go with my local KTRE news channel here. Also the Lufkin Daily News. Also will write CNN again to a different CNN address. If we all keep this attitude, someone will start listening to us. The WORLD needs to KNOW that we are not a bunch of lazy hypochondriacs that just want to lie to get drugs. Seems that is the opinion of alot of people. But with time and more and more speaking out from us.... it might make a difference. > > love and hugs, > off to work...... Guest guest
Hi Debra - I'm thrilled you are such a champion for our cause. As far as not feeling well when it's time to go to work, I know for me, I can stress myself out before an event (dr's appt., family gathering, etc.), and I will feel awful because of it. Do you think that dreading having to go into work makes you sicker? I don't know what can help that, except to maybe repeat some affirmations to yourself over and over. You know, something like, " I am strong enough to go to work and do my job well in spite of my pain. " Take care. Jeanne in WI Just to say that I am feeling like crap. Guest guest
I think we do stress over going somewhere! Whether to work, friends or whatever. Like today, we are going to my in-laws for dinner for our Mother's Day. I woke up this morning kinda feeling good, but with the regular aches and pains and now I feel like I am just stressed and hurt all over more than normal. I actually feel that I have a flare coming again! If so that will be 3 for me since last Saturday!!! OUCH!!! I love going to my in-laws but there is just something about having to go anywhere. I too stress over going to the doctors appts and usually can't sleep the night before. I try to let it go but it just isn't that easy. Today, I ache, my right leg is killing me, my head hurts, I feel as if my bones ache. It's just strange! But I am going tonight come hell or high water!!! I am not going to let this stop me from visiting and at least try to have a good time. People don't understand exactly what WE go through each and everyday. Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day Debra B Re: I WONT SHUT UP........ Hi Debra - I'm thrilled you are such a champion for our cause.
