Guest guest
, I have had the following tests: Barium swallow, Modified barium swallow, x-rays, and a test of the muscles in my esophagus which I've forgotten the name of. All of the Dr's insisted the swallowing problem was in my esophagus while I kept insisting it was in my throat. You are the first person who has given me a name for it and the next time I see my Gastro I am going to give him that name. Thank you! It never occurred to me that it was connected to the fibro. It is so very painful. Margaret B > I actually experience this a lot... Guest guest
, I just looked up esophageal dismotility and all the descriptions say it is the esophagus sphincter and goes along with GERD. In addition to all the tests I listed I forgot to add an endoscopy to them. There was no problem with all the tests. My pain is when I try to swallow but the food or drink stays in my throat. I swallow nothing when this is happening. Margaret B > I actually experience this a lot... Guest guest
, Thank you for the info. My gastro keeps saying it is reflux but I know it is not. Like you, I had reflux many years ago and this is different. I'm convinced now that it is just another symptom of fibro. Another painful muscle. I will look the sites up - thanks loads.
